What facilities are there for people with Special Needs, or who require medical attention?
If you have a medical emergency while at the park,
speak to any Cast Member who will contact the necessary people
immediately. If you just need medical attention, there is a permanently
staffed First Aid Centre located adjacent to Plaza Gardens Restaurant
in Central Plaza in front of the Castle (telephone +33 1 64 74
23 03). The building also houses the Baby Care Centre (telephone
+33 1 64 74 26 00).
Mark Harris (mark.harris@ons.gov.uk) had need of
their services on a recent visit, and is highly complimentary
of the service he received: "We visited with some friends
who have a 20 month old girl who was ill on the first day we were
in the park. We discovered later that she had conjunctivitis and
a viral infection. The reason I mention this is the manner in
which she was dealt with by the Cast Members. During the first
day she was taken to the Baby Care Centre three times and given
antibiotics. On the fourth visit the nurse was not happy with
her progress and wanted her to see a doctor. A qualified cast
member drove the family to a local medical centre where she was
treated and given a number of medicines to take away. They were
then all returned to the park, all within the space of 30 minutes.
I thought it worth mentioning as the service was so excellent
and as a reminder that if you are a non-French European it is
vital that you complete your reciprocal healthcare form (E111
in the UK)."
Facilities for guests with Special Needs
Visitors with disabilities or special needs can get
priority access to attractions, special rates, special parking
facilities and wheelchair access to most attractions and restaurants.
Also, recorded guided tours are available on cassette for the
visually impaired. You can obtain a copy of the Guest Special
Services Guide at City Hall, or in advance by calling your local
Disneyland Paris Direct office.
Wheelchair and stroller rentals are available at
Town Square Terrace (a deposit is required). There is also a free
facility for wheelchair users to collect any purchases made within
the park from this location at the end of the day. Disabled guests may remain in their wheelchairs throughout the following attractions: Fantasyland: La Galerie de la Belle au Bois Dormant, La Tanière du Dragon, Le Théâtre du Château, Fantasy Festival Stage, Alice's Curious Labyrinth Frontierland: Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing, Rustler Roundup Shootin' Gallery, Critter Corral, The Chaparral Stage Adventureland: Adventure Isle, Le Passage Enchanté d'Aladdin

The following attractions can accommodate disabled guests who are able to leave their wheelchairs without assistance: Fantasyland: Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains, Les Voyages de Pinocchio, Peter Pan's Flight Frontierland: Phantom Manor, Big Thunder Mountain Adventureland: Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril, Pirates of the Caribbean
Discoveryland: Star Tours,
Space Mountain Disabled guests will require assistance from a member of their own party to leave their wheelchair and climb up and down stairs on these attractions (please note that, for safety reasons, Disneyland Paris Cast Members are not permitted to lift disabled guests in and out of wheelchairs): Main Street USA: Disneyland Railroad (also applies to all other Railroad boarding locations) Fantasyland: Le Carrousel de Lancelot, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mad Hatter's Tea Cups, Casey Jr. - le Petit Train du Cirque, It's a Small World, Les Pirouettes du Vieux Moulin, Le Pays des Contes de Fées

Note: It has been observed by some recent visitors
that a number of the pathways around the park are not currently
in a very good state of repair. This might cause inconvenience
to some wheelchair-bound guests, especially those without powered
chairs. |
