How can I get to work at the park?

If you'd like to be considered for a job as a Cast Member at the park, you can contact the Disney offices in your own country and send your curriculum vitae (resume) and an accompanying letter. The addresses and phone numbers are given in section 4.2.

Your covering letter should bring out some of your personality, and why you want to work at DLP. Emphasise any dual-language abilities you may have, your enthusiasm for Disney and for their theme parks (but don't go TOO far - they may not want totally over-the-top Disney-nut zealots!) and that you're an outgoing, friendly (but hard-working, of course) and flexible sort of person. Being a Disney cast member is hard work, sometimes repetitive, but there's a great deal of job satisfaction to be had if you can really get into the spirit of making the magic come alive for the guests in whatever role you undertake - even if that's just cleaning the streets.

Multi-lingual applicants will have a clear advantage (60% of the park's guests come from outside France), as will people who already fit into the Disney mould of being bright and cheerful, unflappable and neatly turned out (no facial hair for men, for example). More staff will be required during the summer months (12,000) than the winter months (8,000) and the park can offer jobs to suit everyone - full-time, part-time, seasonal positions or student internships in the entertainment and leisure professions.

The park has recently been advertising for groups of musicians who want to play at the park, and the following is taken from their information sheet:

Welcome to Magic Music Days

The Magic Music Days programme enables young groups from every corner of the world (Marching Bands, Dance Groups, Orchestras and Choirs) to be a part of the Disney Magic for one day.

To be a part of the programme here is what we require:

  • That you are group of at least 15 performers and a minimum of 25 people in total (chaperons and directors included)
  • That you complete and return the performance application and estimate form (please send a letter or a fax to the address below)
  • That you send us a recent, non-returnable video tape or cassette (CDs are not accepted)
  • A recent photograph of your group in costume or uniform (this information should reach us as soon as possible, and no later than two months prior to your requested performance date).

Upon the return of your application and estimate form you will be contacted by our sales department regarding ticket, meal coupon and hotel price details.

For all show-related questions please contact us on the number listed below. We hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you to Disneyland Paris in the near future.
